The Top 6 Bridal Trends to Implement into your Wedding

The Top 6 Bridal Trends to Implement into your Wedding

By Lauren Grice

You can’t scroll through Instagram without seeing some friend of a friend of a friend celebrating their stunning wedding ceremony and newlywed life. Not to mention this week's news cycle smothered with the billionaire Ambani wedding festivities. You may wonder, where are they finding all of these eligible bachelors? Should I even bother getting married if Bieber can’t perform and Bill Gates can’t attend? Thankfully, our problems are simpler than that. Like, will my college roommate be that mad if she’s not a bridesmaid? But whether you’re an Ambani or wannabe, we must know- What are they wearing?

The Business of Fashion claims that this wave of brides isn’t focused on just one party anymore. They’re looking for styles to carry them through 5, 6, even 7 events, and the fashion industry has noticed! When a bride needs a vast amount of outfits, they're no longer looking to spend thousands on each one. Enter, the emerging designers!

E-commerce highflyers like Revolve, SSENSE, and ShopBop are taking note as well. All having launched Bridal Shops to prepare for the modern Mrs. to be, they’re well prepared. Featuring emerging brands like THE NEW ARRIVALS İlkyaz Özel, Cawley, and Aaron Esh, consumers have been loving it.

Vogue Business tells us that consumers are looking for something more than a look that could be found anywhere by anyone. They want to be draped in something unique, hence the uptick in emerging designers on the aisle.

Thankfully, with the help of internet scouring, we’ve found this season’s top 6 bridal trends by emerging designers and where you can get your hands on them for your special day… or maybe just to wear around the house. We don’t judge.

This Season's Top 6 Bridal Trends

1. Pearls… But Not For Your Neck!

Pearls may be the way of debutants and brides of the 50s, but this season we’re wearing them anywhere but our necks. Desperate for dynamic head pieces, intricate embroidery, eccentric heels? Well guess what- Schiaparelli may be all over your social feeds but Joya won't break the bank.

2. Peek-A-Boo Sheer

A little skin goes a long way. A wedding reception, engagement party, or rehearsal dinner could always use the peek-a-boo effect. Designer Harris Reed wore a white blazer flowing into a sheer train by his namesake label for one of his looks. Luckily, we have one too!

3. Floral Accent Galore

Call it the Bridgerton effect. Floral accents have been hitting the aisle in the best way possible. However, these may be florals that Miranda Priestly actually approves of.

4. Colorful Party Dresses

This year's brides are sending the white wash away and welcoming in a world of color.

5. Separates

The good thing about a match set is you don’t have to wear it together! Let your wardrobe borrow from your wedding lookbook by pairing an intricate lace blazer with your favorite everyday jeans.

6. Bespoke Pieces

The only thing Olivia Culpo and Sophia Richie's wedding has taught me is that custom pieces are the way to go! Fortunately, Closr offers Custom Bridal Looks from a plethora of designers that you can work intimately with until your design is as stunning as you.

However you style your wedding wardrobe, you can never go wrong with pieces that speak to you! Haven’t found any yet? Contact us today to get started on designing the look you’ve been searching for.
